Starting out in the beginning he wasn’t as that intelligent. When he was first turned on he only followed the orders like he was program to. He didn’t understand much what he was told to do and even did things that harmed him not even knowing it. For example in the movie “Sir” told him “good night” and he respond “yes it is a good night” not really understanding the concept of what “Sir” really meant. But later in the story he soon development more into really understanding things and soon show more intelligence.

If it was me I wouldn’t think of a robot to be considered “alive”. The reason because it wasn’t born like human. It was made to be of service to a human. My opinion is that just because it might have human parts doesn’t make it any human then say a chimp. The difference between being alive and being an appliance is that an appliance is program to act certain way and being alive gives you the way to act out anyway you want. Even though Andrew began to act more human doesn’t mean he should be accept as a human. Remember he was brought into the world as a program not as a human. Just because he is intelligent doesn’t mean it should be considered “alive”.

To me I think humans should be allowed to own a robot like Andrew. The reason I think that is I believe robot would take over if they have that much power to be free to do anything they won’t. I mean I feel like if he gives the power to be free they might try to take advantage and think we doing a bad job and might feel like they want to help by taking over. Not saying every robot would be like that but it would only take one to think of it. Even though Andrew was different I think it would have been better it he was still control by another human. I mean I’m just saying you never what could happen. That was just a movie who could say it wouldn’t happen different in real life.

Now for a robot to marry a human to me is going too far. Even though Andrew really loved Porsche it just wouldn’t seen right. I mean how they would have kids. All they did was just grow old together but naturally for him, he had to have blood pump into him and that’s not natural. I mean even though he did understand love and the meaning on how to give it, it still didn’t make sense to me. To me that means he was just a “sex robot”.

It should have the same right as a human. The reason is if it commits a crime it should accept the same charges as a human would. For example if it should kill a human instead of death penalty it should just be deactivated. Doesn’t mean it should be considered as a human just that it should be charge as a human being. Even though its not a human doesn’t mean it should get away.
